Information Management: Security & Privacy

The University of Kansas understands the importance and necessity of ensuring the privacy and security of its information assets. In today's online world, new cyber security threats are emerging daily. Ensuring appropriate safeguards are implemented to protect the privacy, integrity and availability of University information assets is essential. In some cases, compliance with specific legal requirements as outlined by HIPAA, FERPA, PCI and GLB also becomes necessary. Information assets include those that are oral and written, found in web sites, on paper, in email or electronic files, in photographs, in archives, and many other forms and formats.
