Faculty Evaluation
Each faculty member shall be evaluated annually using criteria and methods appropriate to that unit for teaching, scholarship, and service. Specific criteria and procedures are identified in each department's faculty evaluation plan.
Progress Toward Tenure Review
The progress toward tenure review is a formal review conducted approximately midway through the probationary period for tenure-track faculty. The purpose of the review is to give faculty members a meaningful appraisal of their progress to date toward earning tenure, and to orient the tenure-track faculty member to elements of the formal tenure review process.
Promotion and Tenure
Guidelines for the promotion and/or tenure process are found in department and school faculty evaluation plans and the
Faculty Senate Rules and Regulations, Article VI.
Multi-year Lecturer
The Multi-Year Term Lecturer Evaluation Form is the basic document used to evaluate multi-year term lecturers for renewal of the term appointment. Although the form contains headers indicating the placement of content, individuals completing the form and individuals responsible for the department School/College review process should read carefully the rest of this document to ensure an effective evaluation.
