Dear KU Community,

The start time for the follow-up listening session related to racism and harassment targeting KU’s Asian and Asian-American community has been reset to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 8. It was noted that the previous time conflicts with the keynote discussion of the KU First Nations Student Association Powwow and Indigenous Cultures Festival. We regret the oversight and want to encourage participation in both events.

The listening session is coordinated by the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging; International Affairs, and the Asian and Asian-American Faculty and Staff Council. The event is an opportunity to discuss the actions we have taken since the previous listening session on March 25 and the larger DEIB framework. It will also be another chance to continue to listen. Provost Barbara Bichelmeyer plans to attend this meeting.
