Colleagues – I would like to inform you of several organizational changes that have recently occurred within the Comptroller’s Office
It is with great excitement and pleasure that I announce Katrina Yoakum has accepted the position of Comptroller for the University of Kansas. Please join me in congratulating her. Katrina began her new duties effective March 8th. Katrina has a Master’s in Accountancy, is a CPA, and has worked in the Comptroller’s office for 6 years as Assistant Comptroller. She brings a great deal of expertise, enthusiasm, and knowledge to the position. The Comptroller Administration, Central Accounting Services, Payroll Services, Bursar, Financial Management Systems, and Financial Reporting Services offices will all report directly to Katrina.
Barry Swanson is now the Director of Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing. Barry reports directly to me but works very closely with Katrina on all issues that impact CASPUR and the other units of the Comptroller’s Office.
In addition, Jeanne Rooney has taken on a new role reporting directly to me. Her title is Assistant to the Vice Provost and her new responsibilities include designing and implementing a campus financial management training program, assisting with the development of a risk management/compliance function for campus, and assisting with various other initiatives for me and other members of the Provost Office.
I am very excited about these changes. The Comptroller’s Office and I welcome departmental feedback as we move through this transition.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at dgoddard@ku.edu should you have any questions or concerns.
