We are responding to the economic uncertainties with prudent measures that protect our core mission. At present, as part of the normal FY 09 budgetary cycle, we have entered a phase in which no additional off-budget cycle salary adjustments or promotion requests will be approved for the current fiscal year for Unclassified Professional Staff and University Support Staff.
In addition, in order to continue exercising appropriate fiscal conservatism in FY 10 and ensure equity for our staff, any proposed salary adjustments or promotions for Unclassified Professional and University Support Staff, from all funding sources, will require supplementary approval by the Office of the Provost. As always, we look to receive strong supporting documentation for all incoming requests; this information is even more important in this context.
